John Jacob Astor Elementary Parents Club

       ~ About ~

Astor Parents Club is a volunteer group committed to supporting students and school staff through fundraising and event planning. All Astor parents/guardians are members and can join meetings. Astor Parents Club is a financially independent committee of the Astoria Parent's Club, a nonprofit organization with a mission to promote a closer relationship between home, community and schools in the Astoria School District for the welfare of our children through volunteer activities and fundraising. 

 

          ~ Activities ~

  • Planning fundraisers like Read-A-Thon and Square 1 Art
  • Providing funds for classroom supplies, field trips, assemblies
  • Planning staff appreciation events

 

          ~ Meetings ~

  • Any parent/guardian or faculty/staff at Astor Elementary is welcome to attend meetings. Feel free to join our meetings if you have a student attending Astor or work at Astor. 
  • Meetings are held monthly with in-person and virtual options.
  • Meetings are generally held on the first Monday of each month at 5:30pm at Astor Elementary, virtual option available. 
  • You can add meetings invites to your calendar or reach out to astorelementaryparentsclub@gmail.com to stay up to date on any changes. 
  • If you have anything you'd like to add to the agenda send an email to astorelementaryparentsclub@gmail.com at least 4 days before the meeting.

          ~ Reimbursement form ~

Volunteers and teachers can request reimbursement for approved expenses through this form with the option to upload receipts to the form or submit them in the Parents Club office box.
